November 27: His Majesty the King granted an audience to more than 80 participants from 25 countries who attended the 4th International Conference on Gross National Happiness yesterday.
More than 80 economists, academics, researchers and professors from 25 countries are in the kingdom to attend the 4th International Conference on Gross National Happiness. The three day conference concluded on yesterday.
His Majesty the King talked to each and every participant during the audience.
Following the audience, His Majesty the King hosted a lunch for the participants. Cultural songs and dances were organized simultaneously by performers from the Royal Academy of Performing Arts.
Coronation souvenir coins were then distributed to the participants. Some of the participants said they were honoured and privileged to have received an audience with His Majesty the King.
The participants from over 25 countries presented papers on issues ranging from conceptual aspects of happiness to practical aspects such as using it for public purpose over the past three days.
